**Position Overview:** We are currently seeking a highly-motivated and proactive **Mechanical Engineer** to join our Engineering & Validation team to ensure strong technical oversight.

## Requirements

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Coordinates and executes projects related to the construction of new manufacturing facilities, the expansion and upgrading of existing facilities, the installation of new mechanical equipment, and the development and installation of new production lines.
-   Participates in project design from the **concept design** and engineering study phases through construction, commissioning, start-up, and final handover.
-   Prepares, reviews, and updates mechanical drawings and technical specifications using **AutoCAD** and **SolidWorks**.
-   Reviews, evaluates, and technically assesses engineering studies, including fire protection studies, mechanical installations, chilled and hot water systems, compressed air systems, nitrogen systems, steam systems, and other industrial utilities.
-   Identifies technical deficiencies, deviations, or opportunities for improvement in existing designs and proposes well-documented modifications and alternative technical solutions.
-   Ensures that engineering solutions are functional, safe, maintainable, and compatible with manufacturing process requirements.
-   Conducts technical measurements, site surveys, inspections, and field assessments at company facilities.
-   Supervises external contractors, subcontractors, and technical crews during construction and installation activities.
-   Ensures the proper implementation of approved engineering studies, technical drawings, and contractual specifications.
-   Coordinates external engineering consultants, contractors, equipment suppliers, and technical advisors.
-   Manages key project parameters, including budget, schedule, available resources, technical requirements, scope changes, and technical and operational risks.
-   Systematically monitors project progress and ensures compliance with the approved budget, quality requirements, agreed timelines, health and safety standards, applicable legislation, and technical regulations.
-   Reviews technical and commercial proposals from suppliers and contractors and participates in their technical evaluation and selection.
-   Monitors the delivery of equipment and materials and verifies their compliance with the agreed technical specifications.
-   Participates in inspection, testing, **commissioning, and** **start-up activities** of installations and equipment.
-   Ensures the completion and handover of the project technical documentation, which may include as-built drawings, equipment and material certificates, technical manuals, testing protocols, operating and maintenance instructions, completion reports, and handover documentation.
-   Prepares technical reports and presents project progress, risks, issues, and required corrective actions to management and relevant stakeholders.
-   Collaborates closely with Engineering & Validation, Maintenance, Production, Quality Assurance, EHS, and Procurement teams to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
-   Signs the required engineering studies and technical documents within the scope of the applicable professional rights and regulatory framework.

**Essential Qualifications:**

-   University degree in **Mechanical Engineering** from a Greek higher education institution or an equivalent internationally recognized institution.
-   Professional license to practice as a Mechanical Engineer and active registration with the **Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE)**.
-   Eligibility to sign mechanical engineering studies in accordance with applicable professional rights and the relevant regulatory framework.
-   Proven professional experience in mechanical engineering projects, industrial facilities, factory construction, or production equipment installations.
-   Very good knowledge and practical experience in **AutoCAD** and **SolidWorks**.
-   Ability to read, understand, and technically evaluate mechanical engineering studies and drawings.
-   Experience with industrial utility systems, such as compressed air, nitrogen, steam, and hot/chilled water networks.
-   Experience in supervising external contractors, subcontractors, and technical installation teams on-site.
-   Experience in managing technical projects, budgets, and project schedules.
-   Good command of the **English language**, with the ability to understand technical specifications, drawings, manuals, and contractual documentation.
-   Good knowledge of **Microsoft Office**, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

-   Experience in the **pharmaceutical, cosmetics, chemical, food, or other highly regulated industries**.
-   Knowledge of **GMP principles**, as well as the qualification and validation of technical installations and equipment.
-   Experience with the installation or upgrading of **HVAC systems, cleanrooms, and industrial utilities**.
-   Familiarity with **P&IDs, technical datasheets, URS, technical specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), risk assessments, commissioning, and qualification processes**.
-   Knowledge of project planning and management software, such as **Microsoft Project** or equivalent tools.
-   Certification or formal training in **Project Management**.
