**Position Overview:** We are looking for an experienced and passionate **Senior EHS Officer** to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven EHS professional who thrives in a highly regulated manufacturing environment and is eager to lead initiatives that strengthen our safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support sustainable business growth.

## Requirements

### **Key Responsibilities:**

-   Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site's Environmental, Health & Safety Management System.
-   Ensure compliance with local legislation, corporate EHS standards, GMP requirements, and international standards, including ISO & GRIs
-   Drive the development of a proactive safety culture through coaching, engagement, and visible leadership across all organizational levels.
-   Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and implementation of preventive and corrective actions.
-   Investigate incidents, near misses, and environmental events using root cause analysis methodologies, ensuring timely closure of action plans.
-   Plan, coordinate, and support internal and external EHS audits, inspections, and regulatory visits.
-   Develop and deliver EHS training programs, ensuring employees and contractors understand their responsibilities.
-   Oversee environmental compliance activities, including waste management, emissions monitoring, hazardous materials management, and environmental reporting.
-   Monitor EHS KPIs, analyze trends, and prepare reports and recommendations for senior management.
-   Support capital projects, engineering changes, and new process implementations by integrating EHS requirements from the design stage.
-   Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and HR to promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.
-   Participate in emergency preparedness planning and coordinate emergency response activities.

**Essential Qualifications:**

-   Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemical, or another relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
-   5+ years of EHS experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
-   Strong knowledge of applicable EHS legislation, risk management principles, ISO & GRIs.
-   Experience supporting GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
-   Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of effective corrective actions.
-   Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
-   Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels of the organization.
-   Proactive mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
-   Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

### Nice to Have:

-   Recognized EHS certifications.
-   Experience with contractor safety management and permit-to-work systems.
-   Experience supporting sustainability, ESG, or decarbonization initiatives.
