## Description

As a Charterer representing the shipowner, you will be responsible for optimizing the deployment of our tankers by managing chartering activities. You will engage with potential clients and brokers to secure profitable charter agreements while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

## Requirements

**Chartering Operations:**

-   Identify and pursue chartering opportunities for chemical tankers, negotiating terms that maximize fleet utilization and profitability.
-   Collaborate with brokers and clients to finalize charter agreements and ensure timely execution.

**Market Analysis:**

-   Analyze market trends, freight rates, and competitor activities to inform strategic chartering decisions.
-   Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including shippers and brokers.

**Fleet Management:**

-   Coordinate with the operations team to ensure that vessels are optimally deployed based on market demands and operational efficiency.
-   Monitor vessel performance and address any issues that may arise during the chartering process.

**Risk Management:**

-   Assess and mitigate risks associated with the transportation of hazardous materials, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and safety requirements.
-   Stay updated on international maritime regulations and environmental guidelines relevant to chemical transport.

**Reporting:**

-   Maintain accurate records of chartering activities, including performance metrics and financial outcomes.
-   Provide regular reports to senior management on market conditions and chartering performance.

**Qualifications:**

-   Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
-   Experience in shipping or chartering, with a focus on chemical tankers strongly preferred.
-   Strong negotiation and communication skills.
-   In-depth understanding of maritime regulations and safety protocols.
-   Ability to analyze market conditions and develop strategic insights.
-   Excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
