# IT Business Analyst - Payments / Banking

## Description

-   Gather, analyze, and document **business and functional requirements** from stakeholders.
-   Work closely with business users, technology teams, developers, and QA teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
-   Prepare **BRDs, FRDs, user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria**.
-   Use **SQL** for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and investigation of business requirements/issues.
-   Leverage **AI tools** to improve requirement analysis, documentation, data analysis, process optimization, and BA productivity.
-   Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
-   Support **UAT, functional testing, defect analysis, and production issue investigation**.
-   Work with technical teams to understand APIs, data flows, integrations, and system dependencies.
-   Perform data validation and ensure solutions meet business and functional requirements.
-   Coordinate with multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
-   Maintain clear documentation of requirements, processes, changes, and decisions.

## Requirements

-   Strong experience as an **IT / Technical Business Analyst**.
-   **Proficiency in SQL** – ability to write queries and perform data analysis/validation.
-   Hands-on experience using **AI tools** for analysis, documentation, productivity, or business problem-solving.
-   Basic understanding of **banking and financial services**.
-   Knowledge of **Debit/Credit transactions and Payments**.
-   Good understanding of business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and UAT.
-   Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
-   Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.

### Good to Have

-   Exposure to **Intraday Liquidity (IDL)** or liquidity management.
-   Experience in **banking payment systems**.
-   Knowledge of **SWIFT / ISO 20022 / payment messages**.
-   Understanding of APIs, system integrations, and data flows.
-   Experience working in **Agile/Scrum** environments.
-   Familiarity with tools such as **JIRA, Confluence, Postman**, or similar BA/project tools.
