## Description

**Position Summary:**

United Concrete Products is hiring an experienced Heavy Forklift Operator to support daily operations at our facility. This is a hands-on, outdoor role that requires operating high-capacity forklifts ranging from **36,000 to 55,000 lbs**. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, managing yard inventory, and assisting with general labor in the shop as needed. A dedicated **spotter** will be assigned to assist during lifting and transport operations.

**Schedule:**

-   **Monday–Friday:** 4:00 AM – 3:30 PM
-   **Saturday:** 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM _(as needed)_

**Key Responsibilities:**

-   Safely operate heavy-capacity forklifts **(36,000–55,000 lbs)** throughout the facility and yard
-   **Load and unload** flatbed trucks and other delivery vehicles
-   Transport, stack, and organize materials in **yard storage** areas
-   Work in coordination with an assigned **spotter** during all major lifts and movements
-   Assist with **general labor tasks in the shop** when forklift duties are not required
-   Perform **daily pre-operation equipment inspections** and document findings
-   Monitor forklift performance and **report any mechanical issues** to maintenance
-   Ensure all materials are stored safely and in accordance with **weight capacity limits**
-   Maintain a **clean, organized, and hazard-free** work environment
-   Follow all **OSHA regulations**, company safety policies, and standard operating procedures
-   Communicate with supervisors, truck drivers, and yard personnel to ensure smooth workflow
-   Assist with **inventory tracking** and material counts as needed

## Requirements

-   Minimum **3 years of experience** operating forklifts with a capacity of 36,000 lbs or greater
-   Valid **forklift operator certification**
-   Proven experience **loading and unloading commercial trucks**
-   Working knowledge of **load charts, weight distribution, and safe rigging practices**
-   Experience in a **precast concrete, construction materials, or heavy industrial setting** is preferred
-   Ability to perform **physical labor** including lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs
-   Comfortable working **outdoors in all weather conditions** year-round
-   Strong **situational awareness** and commitment to safety at all times
-   Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
-   Basic understanding of **hand signals and two-way radio communication**
-   Must pass a **drug test and background check**
