We are seeking an experienced VP of Engineering to lead our global engineering organisation through its next chapter. Reporting directly to the CPTO, you will own engineering strategy and execution - driving the architectural evolution from single-product to multi-product, scaling our infrastructure to support millions of customers, and embedding AI into how we build and deliver software.  
  
**Your Tasks:  
  
Engineering Strategy and AI Integration**

-   Define and execute a forward-looking engineering strategy with AI embedded across tooling, delivery, and SDLC practices
-   Own the architectural direction of our SaaS platforms, with a focus on scalability, security, reliability, and long-term maintainability across a growing multi-product landscape.
-   Champion engineering best practices and a continuous improvement mindset aligned with business goals and our privacy-first product principles.

**Infrastructure Scaling and Multi-Product Architecture**

-   Lead the architectural evolution required to scale from hundreds of thousands to millions of customers.
-   Guide the transition from a single-product to a multi-product engineering organisation, assessing existing capabilities and designing systems that support sustainable growth.
-   Maintain a deep understanding of our product architecture and technology landscape, enabling sound decision-making across teams and technology boundaries.
-   Act as a systems designer who can translate architectural knowledge across technologies

**Execution and Delivery**

-   Own end-to-end delivery execution
-   Establish and track engineering productivity metrics and delivery frameworks
-   Optimise engineering processes and Agile frameworks to enable predictable, high-velocity delivery
-   Remove blockers at scale - from technical debt to cross-team dependencies  
    

**Cross-functional Partnership**

-   Partner closely with Product leadership to co-own strategic planning, ensure timely and high-impact delivery, and create innovative solutions that drive business outcomes.

-   Take ownership of long-term technical roadmap planning and delivery forecasting, aligning resources and timelines to support sustainable growth.

## Requirements

-   10+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in a senior engineering leadership role (Director, Senior Director, VP, or equivalent) with multi-team scope.
-   Proven experience scaling infrastructure to support significant customer growth,
-   Experience leading or contributing to a transition from single-product to multi-product architecture.
-   Ability to design and reason across systems and technology
-   Genuine interest in AI and agentic development - you don't need to have led a full AI transformation, but you engage actively with the concepts and their practical applications.
-   You stay effective in fast-moving, complex environments.
-   Passion for privacy, data ethics, and building products that respect users.
