# Valley Metro Careers

> <p>Valley Metro, also known as Greater Roanoke Transit Company, provides transit service for the cities of Roanoke, Salem and Vinton VA. The transit line was purchased by the City of Roanoke in 1975, and has been operating under the name of Valley Metro since 1977.  We have 3 different bus lines which operate out of 2 locations, Campbell Court in Downtown Roanoke, and the Administration building located on Campbell Ave.  
We pride ourselves in offering a valuable service to our communities by providing superior customer service, and enabling many people the ability to take care of their day to day travel and commuting needs.</p>
