In this role, you will help shape enterprise and platform architecture within a banking-focused environment, supporting technology decisions that balance scalability, governance, resilience, and long-term value. You will work across business and engineering stakeholders to guide architectural direction, influence implementation approaches, and support consistent infrastructure standards across the organization.

### Responsibilities

-   Build the bank's enterprise architecture tool and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts.
-   Own and drive specific areas of technology architecture, providing architectural solutions and designs to project teams for implementation.
-   Provide technology architecture assessments, strategies, and roadmaps across different technology domains.
-   Define platform architecture and key design decisions for the bank's foundation platform.
-   Ensure non-functional requirements meet business needs and business continuity requirements.
-   Ensure architecture governance, policies, and standards are consistently met.
-   Manage engagement with audit teams and oversee audit responses.
-   Maintain customer-facing information and knowledge bases related to platform architecture and key design decisions.
-   Gather requirements and create continuous feedback loops between business users and engineering teams.
-   Establish a strong competency framework within IT asset infrastructure and services.
-   Develop or support tools, methods, and requirements used to assess risk, value, and architectural direction for opportunities and engagements.
-   Support the development of major features and implementations, including architectural design for those features.
-   Collaborate with engineers, developers, and administrators to provide feedback on process, architecture, implementation, and product quality.
-   Troubleshoot issues in a timely manner to help ensure application stability.
-   Design solution recommendations and enforce consistency across applications.
-   Provide technical guidance translated from business needs and advise on best practices during architecture committee discussions.
-   Steer and validate infrastructure design and deployment processes through enterprise architecture governance, including software choices and buy-versus-build recommendations.

## Requirements

### Relevant Job Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.

7+ years of experience in technical or IT roles.

Minimum 5+ years of experience designing and developing complex, high-quality solutions.

Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect or in a similar infrastructure architecture role.

Experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scale IT infrastructure.

Experience working in banking infrastructure environments.

Experience working with audit and governance committees.

Experience gathering requirements from business users and collaborating closely with engineering teams.

Eligibility to work in Egypt.

### Technical Skills

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as on-premises infrastructure.

Demonstrated experience building and configuring cloud infrastructure services, including compute, container OS, storage, IAM, and SDN.

Strong knowledge of network architecture and storage infrastructure.

Hands-on experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Expertise in infrastructure automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.

Knowledge of security protocols and infrastructure security best practices.

Experience applying TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture and governance frameworks.

TOGAF or a similar enterprise architecture certification is a plus.
