**About the Role** 

As a Product Owner at ValPay, you will play a key role in defining, prioritizing, and delivering high-impact product initiatives across our payments ecosystem. You’ll work at the intersection of product, engineering, and business teams to ensure we are building scalable, reliable, and user-centric solutions. 

This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll translate business needs into clear product requirements, drive execution, and ensure alignment across stakeholders. 

**What You’ll Do** 

Product Ownership & Strategy 

-   Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritization aligned with business goals 

-   Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and feature requirements 

-   Translate complex business needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria 

Execution & Delivery 

-   Partner closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality product releases 

-   Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives 

-   Ensure timely delivery while maintaining a strong focus on quality and user experience 

Stakeholder Collaboration 

-   Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and leadership teams 

-   Gather and synthesize feedback from internal and external stakeholders 

-   Act as the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle 

Payments & Platform Growth 

-   Contribute to the evolution of ValPay’s embedded payments platform 

-   Support integrations with third-party systems, APIs, and SaaS products 

-   Ensure alignment with security, compliance (e.g., PCI), and performance standards 

Continuous Improvement & Innovation 

-   Identify opportunities to improve product functionality, usability, and scalability 

-   Leverage data and insights to inform product decisions 

-   Stay current with industry trends in payments, fintech, and SaaS 

**What You Bring** 

-   3–6+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role 

-   Experience working in agile development environments 

-   Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements 

-   Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 

-   Experience working closely with engineering teams on software products 

-   Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making 

**Nice-to-Have** 

-   Experience in payments, fintech, or embedded finance 

-   Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and technical product environments 

-   Understanding of compliance and security requirements (e.g., PCI) 

-   Experience working in high-growth or SaaS environments
