## Description

Aspire Software is looking for a **Lead Software Developer** to join our team in Lebanon.

**What your day will look like**

-   Lead, mentor and grow a team of backend engineers by setting technical direction, coding standards and best practices
-   Own the architecture and technical design of enterprise web applications on AWS, from concept to production
-   Make key decisions on technology, scalability, security and cost, and balance short-term delivery against long-term maintainability
-   Work with Product, QA, DevOps and business stakeholders to turn requirements into realistic plans and timelines
-   Lead code reviews, design reviews and technical discussions
-   Drive the use of AI-assisted development tools and workflows across the team to improve productivity and quality
-   Act as the escalation point during production incidents: lead root-cause analysis, coordinate fixes and put preventive measures in place
-   Find and reduce technical debt, and keep improving engineering processes (CI/CD, testing, observability)

## Requirements

-   A Computer Science or Software Engineering degree, or equivalent experience
-   8+ years of backend development experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead or team lead role
-   Deep expertise in Node.js (Nest.js, Next.js or Express) or Python (Flask or Django), and in NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
-   Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise web applications on AWS, with strong knowledge of API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, Amplify, Application Load Balancers and ECS/EKS
-   Hands-on experience building secure, scalable AWS architectures using VPCs, IAM security policies, Kubernetes, Docker and MongoDB Atlas
-   Demonstrated skill with AI tools for development, and the ability to help a team adopt them
-   Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and monitoring/observability tools
-   A track record of mentoring engineers and building a strong engineering culture
