## Description

**We have a new opening for a full-time** _**Physician**_ **\-** _**Internal Medicine**_ **at Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, AZ**_**.**_

**Job Specific Position Duties:** The duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the facility.

• Clinically direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.  
• Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.  
• Facilitate patient access to medical care by recommending appropriate referrals to other health care providers in accordance with facility policies and regulations.

• Provide outpatient services for patients as scheduled by the Government.

• Care shall include but not be limited to routine general internal medicine care to include care for acute and chronic patient conditions.

• May become the primary care manager for a panel of patients.  
• Duties include managing patient care to include approving/disapproving subspecialty referrals, answering patient telephone consults with the assistance of clinic staff, refilling prescriptions, providing primary and secondary preventative maintenance care.

• Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems as they occur.  
• Have sufficient experience to be able to adequately diagnose and treat diseases and injuries to include, but not limited to the following:

• Have sufficient experience to be able to adequately perform the following medical procedures, to include, but not limited to the following:

• Electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation  
• CPR

• Prepare all records and reports within the timeframe required in support of services rendered and as required by the facility.  
• Take part in clinic Quality Assurance Program as required to meet the standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

**Work Schedule:**

Monday - Friday, 9 hour shift between 7:30am and 5:30pm, with a one hour lunch break.

No Call, No weekends or holidays

## Requirements

**Minimum Qualifications:**

-   **Degree:** Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). 
-   **Education:** Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification. 
-   **Internship/Residency/Fellowship:** Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).   
-   **Experience:** A minimum of one year relevant experience, in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
-   **Board Certification:** Board certification /Board eligible is desired. Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Preventive Medicine is preferred but others will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
-   **Licensure:** Current, full, active, and unrestricted license from any state.
-   **Life Support Certification:** Possess current American Heart Assoc or American Red Cross BLS and ACLS certifications.
-   **Security:** Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

**Base salary:** $250,000 - $265,000 as W2 w/full benefits, or $353,600 as 1099 contractor
