# Production Technician (Maintenance) (1 Year Renewable Contract)

## Description

**Purpose:** Responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safe operational condition of production equipment and machinery such as CNC machines, robotics, and welding machines through routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and technical support to production teams, to maximize reliability, availability, and safety to achieve optimal performance and reduction of machinery breakdowns.

**Key Area of Responsibilities:**

-   Perform routine and scheduled maintenance tasks, including lubrication, grease top-up, coolant level checks, and coolant concentration/pH level management, while conducting inspections and record-keeping to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
-   Inspect equipment for signs of wear or damage, perform condition-based monitoring, and report findings to the Production Maintenance Engineer to detect potential failures and schedule maintenance accordingly.
-   Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment faults, collaborating with the Production Maintenance Engineer on complex issues, while providing technical assistance to production operators to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
-   Perform repairs and replacements as needed to restore equipment and machinery functionality.
-   Provide updates on maintenance status and progress to Production Maintenance Engineer and production teams.
-   Manage inventory levels and spare parts, while maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts used.
-   Assist in installing and commissioning new equipment and machinery to ensure smooth integration into production operations.

## Requirements

-   ITE or Diploma in Maintenance/ Mechatronics /Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or other relevant qualification.
-   Minimum 5 years of experience in machinery servicing/maintenance or a related field within the manufacturing industry.
-   Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with CNC, robotics, and welding machines.
-   Strong problem-solving skills to analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, troubleshoot logically, and implement corrective actions.
-   Good knowledge of electrical circuits, electronics, and control systems, with experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair is advantageous.
-   Good knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes, with experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair is advantageous.
-   Good knowledge of relevant safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
-   Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
-   Basic computer skills for maintenance record keeping.
