Registered Nurse (Travel) - ICU - Mount Airy, NC

VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse (ICU) for an acute care hospital in Mount Airy, NC.

Contract details

\- Weekly pay: $1,882/wk

\- Stipend: includes a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,267/wk where eligible (GSA FY2027 max for this location)

\- Shift: Night (3x12 hours) 18:45-7:15

\- Duration: 13 weeks

\- Start date: 11/16/2026

\- Openings: 1

About the assignment

\- Medical intensive care unit; target ratio 1:3 (aide present at 4+ patients)

\- No on-call; rotating float as census requires

\- No RTO after booking

\- First-time travelers accepted (travel experience preferred); locals accepted

\- Meditech charting

Requirements

\- Active North Carolina RN license (compact accepted)

\- 2+ years of recent ICU experience, including 1:3 ratios

\- ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale and Stroke Life Support

\- Ventilated patients, titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips, dysrhythmia management, blood products

\- Meditech experience required
