**Responsibilities**

-   Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for obstetrical patients.
-   Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
-   Interpret fetal heart rate tracings and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
-   Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
-   Perform obstetrical triage and comprehensive patient assessments.
-   Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency obstetrical interventions.
-   Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
-   Respond effectively to obstetrical emergencies and neonatal resuscitation situations.
-   Maintain accurate electronic medical record documentation.
-   Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, NICU staff, lactation consultants, and case management to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
