Registered Nurse (Travel) - ER - Winston-Salem, NC

VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse (ER) for a regional referral and tertiary care center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Contract details

\- Weekly pay: $2,119/wk

\- Stipend: includes a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,267/wk where eligible (GSA FY2027 max for this location)

\- Shift: 4x12 hours (48 hrs/wk); Day 6:45-19:15, Day 11:00-23:00, Evening 15:00-3:00 or Night 18:45-7:15

\- Duration: 13 weeks

\- Start date: 11/16/2026

\- Openings: 4

About the assignment

\- Emergency department, about 250 visits/day, 101 beds; ratios 1:3-1:5

\- Floating required between Emergency Observation and Emergency Behavioral Health

\- Weekends: minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week schedule, up to every other weekend

\- No block scheduling; no RTO after booking

\- First-time travelers and locals accepted

\- Epic and Pyxis; 24 hours of unit orientation

\- Must pass EKG testing before start

\- Scrubs: navy/white

Requirements

\- Active North Carolina RN license (compact accepted)

\- 2+ years of recent Emergency Department experience

\- ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS and MOAB

\- Skills: IV starts, triage and telemetry
