**The Role**

The Debt Recovery Legal Officer supports the Debt Recovery & Collections function, reporting directly to the Debt Recovery & Collections Manager. 

The role is responsible for the management and monitoring of recovery, enforcement and litigation-related activities, including electronic seizure procedures, debt recovery cases, insolvency matters and legal enforcement actions. The position works closely with external legal counsels, courts, bailiffs and internal stakeholders to ensure the timely execution, documentation and monitoring of recovery and enforcement actions in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.

**Key Responsibilities**

-   Maintain recovery, litigation and enforcement case files and records;

-   Prepare and monitor recovery notices, legal communications and enforcement documentation;

-   Manage and submit electronic seizure procedures and third-party declarations through the ODEE e-enforcement platform;

-   Coordinate with external legal counsels, bailiffs, notaries and competent authorities;

-   Monitor court proceedings, insolvency cases and legal deadlines;

-   Review legal documentation and prepare case summaries relating to objections, appeals and other legal remedies;

-   Track debtor assets, encumbrances and enforcement outcomes;

-   Produce management and audit reports relating to recovery and enforcement activities;

-   Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal and data protection requirements;

-   Utilize case management and AI-assisted tools to improve operational efficiency.

## Requirements

-   Bachelor's degree in Law or Legal Studies & and active membership of the Greek Bar Association (required for access to any relevant e-platforms);

-   3-5 years of experience in debt recovery, enforcement, litigation support or a similar legal role;

-   Experience with enforcement proceedings, electronic seizures and debt collection practices;

-   Understanding of insolvency, litigation and debt recovery frameworks;

-   Strong analytical, documentation and case management skills;

-   Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems;

-   Fluency in English. Additional EU languages are considered an advantage.
