**Job Summary**

The Mail Department Operator manages outgoing mail, ensuring accurate sorting, timely distribution, and proper documentation.

 **Location:** Onsite role in Springfield, VA

**Schedule:** 1:00 - 9:00pm

**Pay Range:** $21 - 27.50 USD/hourly

**What You'll Do...**

-   Operate processes for outgoing mail from our facility
-   Read and understand paper and electronic job orders and process jobs according to specifications
-   Be accountable for quality, on time work
-   Run and coordinate work in the operation of all mailroom equipment
-   Maintains mail machinery in working order, clearing jams in equipment and operating computers
-   Maintain an accurate record of all mail processed and distributed
-   Other duties as assigned

## Requirements

-   High school diploma or equivalent
-   Experience running mailing inserter machines required
-   Proven experience in an administrative role is an advantage
-   Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
-   Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and records
-   Familiarity with postal regulations, procedures, and mail sorting technologies
-   Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff and vendors
