The country programme of WaterAid in Pakistan has been in operation since 2006 and under an MoU with the Ministry of Interior. Our mission is to transform lives by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in the poorest communities. It supports local organisations and governments to set up low cost and sustainable WASH solutions that can be managed by the community. **About the role** The intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Climate Resilient WASH (CR-WASH) team in managing its expanding portfolio of climate finance opportunities, business development initiatives, advocacy efforts, and influencing engagements. He/she will support the coordination and implementation of key activities while contributing to the effective delivery of the team's strategic priorities. This internship offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in climate finance, CR-WASH, climate frameworks, and international development within a dynamic and collaborative environment. Through active involvement in day-to-day operations and programme support, the intern will develop professional skills and acquire valuable exposure to climate-resilient development approaches, while making a meaningful contribution to WaterAid Pakistan's strategic objectives. **In this role, you will:** The intern will work under the direct supervision of Climate Change & WASH Specialist and will be expected to perform the following tasks: - Coordinate and set up internal and external meetings related to climate finance opportunities, advocacy, and influencing. - Take detailed notes and prepare minutes during meetings with partners, government stakeholders, and the internal WAP team. - Read through climate finance call for proposals and prepare brief, easy-to-understand summaries of the opportunities. - Provide logistical and coordination support for the rollout and dissemination of the Climate Resilient WASH Finance Strategy at the federal level and across provinces, including Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). - Assist in maintaining and updating trackers for business development opportunities and advocacy engagements. - Provide administrative and logistical support for programme-related events, meetings, and workshops. - Perform any other tasks assigned by the supervisor as may be required in the interest of the programme. ## Requirements **To be successful, you will need:** **Essential skills** **Knowledge** - Minimum Bachelor's degree (BS-04 years) in Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Climate Change, Public Policy, International Relations, or a closely related discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.5/4.0 (or equivalent). - Preferred Master's degree in any of the above-mentioned disciplines with a minimum CGPA of 3.5/4.0 (or equivalent). **Experience** - Prior internship, research, volunteer, or project experience will be an added advantage. **Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:** **Desirable skills** - Demonstrable knowledge and keen interest in Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Climate Change, Climate Adaptation, and Climate Finance. - Understanding of climate finance mechanisms (Adaptation Fund, GCF, GEF, GBFF, etc.) and their operational modalities is an added advantage. **View the full job description** [**here**](https://thesource.wateraid.org/Share/5of5e87v520csg3j42jxjx1a3hl351lg) **Closing date:** Applications will close at **05:00PM (PK time)** on **24th July 2026**.
