**The Opportunity**

Are you obsessed with music culture and how it plays out across social? 

Do you know what great looks like on every platform, and how to scale it across markets without losing what makes it land? 

Can you lead teams, shape strategy and still obsess over the details?

We Are Social is looking for an  Associate Editorial Director to join the team here in London. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role overseeing the output across multiple European markets on a major global entertainment account. You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, creativity and execution, translating a central vision into best-in-class social content that performs locally and consistently across regions. Working closely with the central team, you’ll help define how the brand shows up across platforms, then ensure that vision is delivered seamlessly across markets. From shaping strategy decks to overseeing daily publishing, you’ll keep everything moving at the speed of social.

We’re looking for someone who us a systems thinker and cultural expert who can bring clarity and ambition to a fast-moving, multi-market account, while confidently leading teams and stakeholders at every level.

-   Ensured all produced content maintained alignment with strategic direction and creative ambition, meeting consistently high editorial standards across all outputs.
-   Led and managed editorial output across multiple markets, achieving strong creative consistency, tone of voice adherence, and successful adoption of all central content franchises and growth strategies.
-   Served as the critical conduit between central leadership and market teams, establishing consistent and clear two-way communication channels.
-   Successfully balanced global vision with local cultural insights, ensuring market teams delivered content that was both locally relevant and strategically aligned.
-   Introduced structure to complex, multi-workstream accounts, accelerating team alignment and overall pace of delivery.
-   Applied extensive knowledge of social channel trends, formats, algorithm shifts, and audience behaviours to inform content creation.
-   Delivered content that consistently achieved best-in-class social performance outcomes.
-   Proactively identified emerging trends and rapidly translated them into clear, actionable creative briefs and campaign opportunities for content teams.
-   Managed global content calendars and publishing systems, resulting in high consistency, accuracy, and clear visibility of content across all markets.
-   Designed and implemented efficient, streamlined workflows that significantly improved team operations and maximised creative output.
-   Collaborated successfully with paid media and influencer teams to substantially amplify content impact through strategic boosting and creator partnerships.
-   Maintained comprehensive oversight of all content concepts, decks, and publishing plans, ensuring timely and compliant approvals.
-   Served as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, consistently fostering and maintaining strong, trusted working relationships.
-   Successfully presented complex work, updates, and strategic thinking to senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence, securing buy-in for key initiatives.
-   Streamlined feedback loops, ensuring rapid responses while meticulously maintaining the integrity of the core creative and strategic direction.

-   Significant experience in social or content leadership roles, ideally within entertainment, music or culture-led brands.
-   Proven ability to lead multi-market or large-scale content programmes.
-   A systems-oriented mindset - someone who can build structures that enable creativity at scale.
-   A confident leader, comfortable managing up, down and across teams in fast-paced environments.
-   Deep understanding of social platforms, content formats and audience behaviours.
-   A strong strategic thinker who can translate vision into clear execution.
-   Highly organised, able to manage multiple workstreams while staying calm under pressure.
-   Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior clients.
-   A data-informed approach, using insights to guide decisions and improve output.
-   Someone deeply embedded in music, podcast and internet culture, with a constant curiosity for what’s next.
