## Description

We’re looking for safety-focused, dependable professionals to join a growing autonomous vehicle operation. As an Autonomous Vehicle Operator (AVO), you’ll work directly with cutting-edge self-driving technology while helping provide passengers with a safe, comfortable, and professional experience.

This is not a traditional driving job. The vehicle operates autonomously during normal operations. Your primary responsibility is to stay continuously alert, monitor the autonomous system and surrounding environment, follow strict safety procedures, document important events, assist passengers, and take manual control only when safety or specific operating situations require it.

What You’ll Do

- **Monitor autonomous technology:** Maintain constant situational awareness while observing the vehicle, surrounding environment, and autonomous driving system.
- **Put safety first:** Follow all traffic laws, operating procedures, and safety requirements, including a strict **no-phone/distraction policy** while monitoring the vehicle.
- **Intervene when necessary:** Be prepared to safely take manual control of the vehicle when required.
- **Support passengers:** Create a welcoming, professional experience and assist riders throughout their trip.
- **Provide ADA assistance:** Help passengers using wheelchairs and mobility equipment, including pushing wheelchairs up ramps and safely securing them inside the vehicle.
- **Inspect vehicles:** Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and promptly report concerns.
- **Keep vehicles passenger-ready:** Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle environment.
- **Document events:** Use mobile devices and digital tools to accurately record technical events, safety interventions, and daily operational summaries.
- **Help improve the experience:** Provide feedback about vehicle performance, passenger comfort, vehicle condition, and the overall rider experience.

- Coachable, adaptable, and comfortable learning new technology

Experience That Can Help You Stand Out

Professional driving experience is helpful, but it is not required for every candidate. Strong customer service professionals with the right safety mindset, attention to detail, and comfort with technology are encouraged to apply.
