We are seeking an experienced **Principal Software Engineer** to design, build, and secure large-scale cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments. This role focuses on cloud security engineering, infrastructure automation, GitOps, DevSecOps, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and cloud-native security solutions.

As a technical leader, you will architect secure-by-design cloud platforms, implement infrastructure as code, automate security operations, and drive enterprise cloud security initiatives. You will work closely with Platform Engineering, DevOps, Security, and Application teams to build resilient, scalable, and compliant cloud environments while mentoring engineering teams and influencing architectural decisions.

### **Key Responsibilities**

### **Cloud Infrastructure & Security Engineering**

-   Design, develop, and implement secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms.
-   Build highly available, scalable, and secure cloud architectures following security best practices.
-   Develop and maintain hardened golden images for virtual machines, containers, and cloud workloads.
-   Drive cloud security initiatives aligned with enterprise governance, compliance, and operational standards.

### **Infrastructure Automation & GitOps**

-   Build and maintain GitOps-driven workflows for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and configuration management.
-   Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning.
-   Implement configuration management and automation using Ansible.
-   Improve deployment consistency through reusable infrastructure modules and automation frameworks.

### **Identity & Access Management**

-   Design and implement secure Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies across cloud environments.
-   Manage IAM roles, policies, federated identities, and least-privilege access controls.
-   Automate identity governance and access management processes.
-   Ensure secure authentication and authorization across enterprise cloud services.

### **Cloud Monitoring & Observability**

-   Design and implement enterprise-grade logging, monitoring, and observability solutions.
-   Build monitoring pipelines using cloud-native and open-source monitoring technologies.
-   Develop alerting frameworks to improve visibility, reliability, and incident response.
-   Optimize operational monitoring across cloud infrastructure and container platforms.

### **Cloud Security & DevSecOps**

-   Deploy and manage Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) solutions such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, or equivalent.
-   Implement cloud security posture management, workload protection, compliance monitoring, and risk detection.
-   Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
-   Participate in security reviews, threat modeling, vulnerability remediation, and cloud risk assessments.

### **Software Development & Automation**

-   Develop automation tools and cloud security utilities using Python and Go.
-   Build scalable tooling to improve cloud operations, compliance, and security automation.
-   Enhance deployment efficiency through scripting and workflow automation.
-   Contribute to reusable engineering frameworks and platform tooling.

### **Technical Leadership**

-   Collaborate with Engineering, Security, Platform, and DevOps teams to deliver secure cloud solutions.
-   Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices across cloud security and infrastructure.
-   Drive architectural discussions and influence long-term cloud platform strategy.
-   Document architecture, security designs, implementation standards, and operational procedures.

### **Required Qualifications**

-   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
-   10+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Security, DevSecOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
-   Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
-   Deep expertise in cloud security engineering and enterprise cloud architecture.
-   Strong experience implementing GitOps methodologies.
-   Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
-   Experience using Ansible for configuration management and automation.
-   Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), security policies, identity federation, and access governance.
-   Experience deploying and managing Cloud-Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP) such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Orca, or similar solutions.
-   Proficiency in Python and/or Go for infrastructure automation and tooling.
-   Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
-   Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container security.
-   Experience implementing cloud monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
-   Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

### **Preferred Qualifications**

-   Experience with policy-as-code and compliance automation frameworks.
-   Knowledge of network security, VPC architecture, firewalls, service mesh, and Zero Trust principles.
-   Experience implementing DevSecOps best practices.
-   Familiarity with cloud security observability platforms.
-   Exposure to AI-assisted security automation or machine learning applications in cloud security.
