We are looking for an experienced **Software Test Automation Engineer** to strengthen product quality through robust automated testing across UI, API, integration, and end-to-end workflows. The role involves working closely with Software Engineers and cross-functional teams to understand complex systems, identify potential quality risks, and build scalable testing solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in **Python or another object-oriented language**, hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, and a passion for improving software quality through engineering best practices.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Work closely with Software Engineers to understand application architecture, workflows, dependencies, and technical requirements.
-   Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for **UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing**.
-   Develop automation solutions using **Python or other object-oriented programming languages**.
-   Participate in technical and design discussions to improve the platform's testability and support comprehensive testing scenarios.
-   Develop and execute functional and non-functional test cases across different product components.
-   Contribute to end-to-end acceptance testing and release validation.
-   Investigate, triage, and diagnose defects discovered across development and testing environments.
-   Collaborate with engineering teams to identify root causes and support timely resolution of issues.
-   Develop and execute manual test cases where automation is not practical or sufficient.
-   Identify opportunities to convert manual test scenarios into automated regression coverage.
-   Build and continuously improve scalable and maintainable **test automation frameworks**.
-   Integrate automated testing into **CI/CD pipelines** using Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar tools.
-   Support continuous quality improvements by introducing testing best practices, processes, and standards.
-   Maintain test documentation, automation scripts, test data, and relevant quality metrics.
-   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent product quality throughout the development lifecycle.

### What Makes You a Great Fit

-   **5+ years of experience** in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation.
-   Strong hands-on experience developing both **functional and non-functional automated tests**.
-   Solid programming experience in **Python or another object-oriented programming language**.
-   Proven experience building, maintaining, or enhancing **test automation frameworks**.
-   Hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as **Selenium, Robot Framework, or Watir**.
-   Experience with **API, integration, and end-to-end testing**.
-   Strong understanding of software engineering practices and **Agile methodologies**.
-   Experience integrating automated testing with **CI/CD pipelines**, particularly Jenkins, Spinnaker, or comparable tools.

-   Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

-   Ability to identify quality risks early and collaborate effectively with developers and other stakeholders.
-   Comfortable taking ownership of challenging testing problems while working effectively as part of a team.
-   Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain defects, risks, and technical findings.
-   A Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline**, or equivalent professional experience.
