We are looking for an experienced **Infrastructure Engineer** to design, maintain, and support reliable on-premises infrastructure environments across compute, storage, and database platforms.

The role is suited for an infrastructure professional with strong hands-on experience in **on-prem infrastructure engineering** and an interest in modern infrastructure automation. You will contribute to maintaining stable, scalable, and efficient infrastructure while supporting automation initiatives using technologies such as **Ansible and Terraform**.

The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a practical approach to infrastructure operations, and the ability to learn and adopt modern automation and monitoring practices.

## Requirements

Key Responsibilities

-   Design, deploy, maintain, and support **on-premises infrastructure** across compute, storage, and database environments.
-   Monitor infrastructure health, availability, capacity, and performance.
-   Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis to resolve recurring issues.
-   Support server, storage, compute, and database infrastructure operations as required.
-   Collaborate with application, database, network, security, and operations teams to resolve technical issues.
-   Perform infrastructure configuration, upgrades, patching, maintenance, and lifecycle activities.
-   Identify repetitive operational activities and develop opportunities for **infrastructure automation**.
-   Work with **Ansible and Terraform** to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.
-   Contribute to Infrastructure as Code practices and improve consistency across infrastructure environments.
-   Support infrastructure monitoring and observability using tools such as **Dynatrace and Grafana**.
-   Work with IT service-management processes and tools such as **ServiceNow** for incidents, requests, changes, and problem management.
-   Maintain infrastructure documentation, configuration records, operational procedures, and technical standards.
-   Participate in capacity planning, infrastructure optimisation, and performance improvement initiatives.

What Makes You a Great Fit

-   **4+ years of experience** in infrastructure engineering, systems engineering, data-centre operations, or a closely related field.
-   Strong hands-on experience with **on-premises infrastructure engineering**.
-   Practical experience working with one or more infrastructure domains, including **compute, storage, or database infrastructure**.
-   Strong understanding of server infrastructure, system administration, infrastructure operations, and troubleshooting.
-   Experience supporting production infrastructure environments with a focus on availability, reliability, and performance.
-   Exposure to **infrastructure automation** and a strong interest in expanding automation capabilities.
-   Willingness and ability to learn and work hands-on with **Ansible and Terraform**.
