We are looking for an experienced **Senior Software Engineer** with strong expertise in **Laravel, PHP, and backend engineering** to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

The role is suited for an engineer who can take ownership of complex backend requirements, contribute to system architecture, build reliable APIs and services, and drive engineering initiatives from design through production. You will work closely with product, frontend, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver robust technology solutions that support business growth and evolving customer needs.

## Requirements

Key Responsibilities

-   Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using **PHP and Laravel**.
-   Build clean, reusable, secure, and maintainable backend services and application components.
-   Design and develop robust **RESTful APIs** and integrations with internal and external systems.
-   Translate functional and technical requirements into scalable backend solutions.
-   Contribute to backend architecture, system design, and technology decisions.
-   Design and optimise database schemas, queries, indexes, and data-access layers.
-   Integrate backend applications with third-party services, APIs, and other enterprise systems.
-   Optimise application performance, scalability, reliability, and resource utilisation.
-   Identify and resolve complex production issues through structured debugging and root-cause analysis.
-   Implement appropriate security practices across APIs, backend services, authentication, authorisation, and data handling.
-   Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.

-   Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver features end-to-end.
-   Support CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, production releases, and application maintenance.
