We are seeking an experienced **Taxation Manager** to oversee and strengthen our organization's direct and indirect taxation functions while ensuring complete regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have 6–13 years of experience managing tax operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting requirements. This role requires strong expertise in tax planning, compliance, audits, and advisory while working closely with finance, legal, and business stakeholders to ensure adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations.

The successful candidate should possess excellent analytical abilities, sound knowledge of evolving tax legislation, and the capability to drive tax optimization strategies while minimizing compliance risks.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Manage end-to-end **Direct Taxation** activities, including corporate income tax, advance tax, tax planning, TDS, tax assessments, and annual tax filings.
-   Oversee **Indirect Taxation** functions, including GST compliance, reconciliations, return filings, audits, refunds, and regulatory reporting.
-   Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance with all applicable central, state, and local tax regulations.
-   Prepare, review, and file statutory tax returns, tax reports, and supporting documentation.
-   Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities during assessments, audits, and investigations.
-   Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
-   Develop tax-efficient strategies while ensuring complete legal and regulatory compliance.
-   Review financial transactions to identify tax implications and recommend corrective actions wherever required.
-   Manage tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and tax disclosures as part of financial reporting.
-   Support business teams by providing tax advisory on new business initiatives, contracts, and commercial transactions.
-   Maintain proper documentation for tax records, assessments, notices, and regulatory communications.
-   Lead internal tax audits and strengthen tax governance, controls, and compliance frameworks.
-   Collaborate with finance, accounts, legal, and leadership teams to ensure seamless execution of tax-related activities.
-   Mentor junior finance professionals and promote best practices in taxation and compliance.

### Must-have Skills

-   Strong expertise in **Direct Taxation**, including corporate tax, TDS, advance tax, transfer pricing exposure, tax assessments, and tax planning.
-   Extensive experience in **Indirect Taxation**, particularly GST compliance, reconciliations, audits, input tax credit management, refunds, and regulatory reporting.
-   In-depth knowledge of **Tax Compliance**, statutory filings, tax documentation, audit support, litigation management, and regulatory requirements.
-   Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
-   Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
-   Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting platforms.
-   Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience preparing tax reports and reconciliations.

### Good-to-have Skills

-   Knowledge of **FEMA** regulations governing foreign exchange transactions.
-   Understanding of **RBI Regulations** applicable to corporate financial transactions and reporting.
-   Familiarity with **ROC Compliance**, Companies Act requirements, statutory filings, and corporate governance practices.
-   Exposure to international taxation and cross-border transactions.
-   Experience working with multinational organizations or large corporate groups.

### Qualifications

-   Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
-   CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification is highly preferred.
-   Additional certifications in taxation or finance will be an advantage.

### Experience

-   6–13 years of relevant experience in corporate taxation, tax compliance, or finance.
-   Proven experience managing both direct and indirect taxation functions in medium to large organizations.
-   Experience handling tax assessments, audits, and interactions with regulatory authorities is preferred.
