We are looking for a **Senior Equity Research Analyst** to conduct in-depth fundamental research, financial analysis, and valuation of companies across assigned sectors. The ideal candidate will generate actionable investment insights and recommendations for institutional clients by combining rigorous financial modelling, industry research, and a strong understanding of the Indian equity markets.

The role involves developing research reports, monitoring market and regulatory developments, engaging with company management, and collaborating with sales and trading teams to deliver high-quality research that supports institutional investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

### Research & Investment Insights

-   Conduct comprehensive fundamental research on companies across assigned sectors, covering financial statements, business models, industry dynamics, competitive positioning, and growth prospects.
-   Perform extensive secondary research using financial databases, public information, industry reports, social media, and other relevant research sources.
-   Develop independent, data-backed investment views by identifying business trends, financial risks, growth drivers, and potential market opportunities.
-   Build, maintain, and update detailed financial models to forecast company performance and determine valuation estimates and price targets.
-   Prepare high-quality equity research reports with clear narratives, well-supported analysis, and actionable investment recommendations.
-   Monitor sector developments, macroeconomic trends, market movements, and regulatory changes, assessing their potential impact on companies and investment performance.
-   Evaluate company financial performance, earnings announcements, corporate actions, and valuation metrics to identify investment opportunities and risks.

### Client & Stakeholder Management

-   Serve as a trusted research and market intelligence partner to institutional investors, multinational corporations, and large enterprise clients.
-   Develop a strong understanding of client business contexts, investment objectives, portfolio priorities, and research requirements.
-   Engage with company management teams to gather relevant information, validate investment hypotheses, and develop deeper business insights.
-   Collaborate with sales and trading teams to communicate research findings, share timely market updates, and support client investment decisions.
-   Participate in client meetings, investor conferences, and company interactions to present research findings and investment recommendations.
-   Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, company executives, and internal stakeholders.
-   Contribute to the continuous improvement of research quality, sector coverage, and the overall investment research offering.

Qualifications & Experience

-   Demonstrated experience in equity research, fundamental analysis, financial modelling, and company valuation.
-   Prior experience at a leading brokerage firm, investment bank, or equity research firm is highly desirable.
-   Strong proficiency in financial statement analysis, forecasting, valuation methodologies, and investment analysis.
-   Ability to develop and communicate independent investment views supported by rigorous research and quantitative analysis.
-   Deep understanding of the Indian equity markets, industry dynamics, and the applicable regulatory environment.
-   Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information and investment recommendations clearly.
-   Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities, along with sound commercial judgment.
-   Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with institutional clients, company management, and internal teams.
-   Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline. An MBA in Finance or CFA qualification is preferred.
