We are looking for an experienced **Oracle PL/SQL Developer & DBA** to develop, administer, troubleshoot, and optimise enterprise Oracle database environments. This is an **Individual Contributor** role requiring strong hands-on expertise across both **PL/SQL development and Oracle database administration**, with a significant focus on performance tuning and production support.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with complex SQL, database objects, performance diagnostics, Linux scripting, and production database environments.

## Requirements

Key Responsibilities

-   Develop, maintain, and optimise complex **SQL and PL/SQL** components.
-   Design and maintain procedures, functions, packages, views, triggers, synonyms, and other Oracle database objects.
-   Perform Oracle database administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support.
-   Analyse **AWR and ADDM reports** to identify database performance bottlenecks.
-   Use SQL Advisory and related performance-analysis tools to identify optimisation opportunities.
-   Optimise complex SQL queries, database operations, execution plans, and resource utilisation.
-   Diagnose and resolve database performance, availability, and production issues.
-   Monitor database health and proactively identify potential operational or performance risks.
-   Provide production support and troubleshoot critical database incidents.
-   Develop and maintain **Linux/Shell scripts** for database administration and operational activities.
-   Collaborate with application and engineering teams to resolve database-related issues and improve application performance.
-   Support database changes, deployments, maintenance activities, and operational processes.
-   Document database solutions, troubleshooting procedures, performance improvements, and operational activities.
-   Contribute to database reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability initiatives.
-   Support cloud-based infrastructure and database environments where required.

What Makes You a Great Fit

-   **7+ years of relevant experience** in Oracle PL/SQL development, Oracle DBA, database engineering, or a closely related role.
-   Strong hands-on expertise in **Oracle PL/SQL development and Oracle Database Administration**.
-   Proven experience with **Oracle database performance tuning and troubleshooting**.
-   Strong understanding of **AWR, ADDM, SQL Advisory, execution plans, and SQL optimisation**.
-   Experience writing and optimising complex SQL queries.
-   Strong hands-on experience with **procedures, functions, packages, views, triggers, and synonyms**.
-   Experience supporting production databases and resolving critical database issues.
-   Strong understanding of database monitoring, performance diagnostics, availability, and resource utilisation.
-   Good working knowledge of **Linux and Shell scripting** for database-related activities.
-   Ability to analyse complex technical problems and perform effective root-cause analysis.
-   Strong understanding of database development standards, administration practices, and operational processes.
-   Experience collaborating with application developers, infrastructure teams, and other technical stakeholders.
-   Exposure to **Hive, Impala, or HBase** is an advantage.
-   Experience with **Google Compute Engine (GCE)** and GCE provisioning is a plus.
-   Strong communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
-   Ability to work independently as an **Individual Contributor** and take ownership of database development and operational responsibilities.
-   Willingness and availability to work from **Hyderabad or Bengaluru** during the required **11:00 AM–8:00 PM IST**schedule.
