We are looking for an experienced **Consultant – Java Backend** to design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems that power high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture, along with a passion for building reliable, secure, and distributed systems.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust backend services, improve system performance, and contribute to the architecture of mission-critical applications used by global customers.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
-   Build and enhance microservices-based architectures to support high-availability and high-performance systems.
-   Develop secure, reusable, and well-tested RESTful APIs and backend services.
-   Collaborate with product managers, architects, frontend developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
-   Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
-   Participate in system design discussions, architecture reviews, and technical planning.
-   Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
-   Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
-   Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to promote engineering excellence.
-   Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

### Requirements

-   5+ years of experience in backend software development using Java.
-   Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
-   Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
-   Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software engineering principles.
-   Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.
-   Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and modern CI/CD practices.
-   Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
-   Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
-   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
-   Strong understanding of System Design and scalable distributed architectures.
-   Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
-   Exposure to messaging systems, caching technologies, and performance optimization techniques.
-   Experience working in Agile development environments.
