We are looking for a highly analytical and commercially driven **Lead – Business Finance** to partner with business leadership in shaping financial strategy and driving sustainable growth. This is not a traditional FP&A or reporting role—it is a strategic finance position focused on influencing business decisions, optimizing capital allocation, and building scalable financial frameworks that support long-term profitability.

As a finance business partner, you will work closely with cross-functional leaders across Operations, Category Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technology, and Expansion to ensure key business decisions are financially sound and aligned with organizational objectives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, building financial systems from first principles, and operating in a high-growth, high-ownership environment.

### Key Responsibilities

### Business Performance & Financial Planning

-   Partner with business leaders to develop Annual Operating Plans (AOP), rolling forecasts, and periodic business reviews.
-   Monitor revenue, profitability, margins, cash flow, and other key financial metrics.
-   Drive data-backed decision-making by providing actionable business insights and financial analysis.

### Commercial Finance & Unit Economics

-   Own financial planning across business units, channels, product categories, and customer segments.
-   Improve pricing strategies, gross margins, promotional effectiveness, vendor funding, product mix, and customer acquisition economics.
-   Develop scalable profitability models and strengthen unit economics across multiple business models.

### Capital Allocation & Investment Analysis

-   Evaluate investment opportunities across expansion initiatives, technology, supply chain improvements, and strategic projects.
-   Build financial models using ROI, IRR, NPV, payback analysis, and scenario planning.
-   Monitor post-investment performance to improve capital allocation discipline.

### Working Capital & Financial Efficiency

-   Collaborate with business teams to improve inventory productivity, working capital management, cash conversion cycles, and return on capital employed.
-   Embed cost-of-capital thinking into operational and strategic planning.

### Strategic Finance

-   Support leadership on key strategic initiatives including pricing, expansion, partnerships, profitability improvement, and new business opportunities.
-   Provide commercial insights through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and structured problem-solving.

### Business Partnering

-   Act as a trusted finance advisor to cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technology, and Category Management.
-   Influence strategic decisions through financial rigor and commercial insight.

### Performance Management & Analytics

-   Develop scalable KPIs, dashboards, financial reporting frameworks, and performance review mechanisms.
-   Build financial operating systems that improve visibility, accountability, and business performance.

### Ideal Candidate Profile

### Education

-   CA, MBA (Finance/Strategy), or equivalent qualification from a reputed institution.
-   Strong academic background preferred.

### Experience

-   4–8 years of experience in Business Finance, Strategic Finance, Commercial Finance, or FP&A.
-   Experience in Retail, FMCG, Consumer Internet, E-commerce, Quick Commerce, or other high-growth businesses is preferred.
-   Prior experience partnering closely with business leaders on commercial and strategic decisions is highly desirable.
-   Experience working in startup or scale-up environments is an advantage.
