We are looking for a highly skilled **CAD Staff Engineer – Analog & Digital Simulation** to develop, optimize, and support advanced circuit simulation and verification flows. This role combines **EDA/CAD engineering, analog circuit simulation, software development, automation, and AI-enabled engineering workflows** to improve productivity, simulation efficiency, and pre-silicon quality.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in circuit simulation methodologies, EDA tools, Linux-based engineering environments, and scripting/programming. You will work closely with memory and circuit design teams to solve complex technical challenges, develop scalable CAD solutions, and introduce innovative automation and AI-assisted flows.

## Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-   Partner closely with **memory design and circuit engineering teams** to understand simulation challenges and develop complete, scalable solutions.
-   Develop, optimize, and maintain advanced **analog and digital circuit simulation flows**.
-   Identify opportunities to improve existing CAD processes, tools, methodologies, and engineering workflows.
-   Develop clean, scalable, maintainable software systems and automation frameworks.
-   Debug complex circuit simulation issues and provide effective technical solutions.
-   Evaluate emerging **EDA tools and technologies** and integrate suitable solutions into existing CAD flows.
-   Collaborate with EDA vendors on tool evaluation, technical issues, integration, and flow improvements.
-   Develop and deploy **AI-enabled methodologies** for circuit simulation and verification.
-   Lead implementation of **agentic AI and automated workflows**, including copilot-based assistants and rule-aware automation.
-   Integrate AI-assisted tools into engineering workflows to improve productivity, quality, and problem-solving effectiveness.
-   Identify, test, validate, and share AI-enabled improvements within the engineering organization.
-   Develop automation using **Python, Perl, TCL, Shell, and SKILL** as appropriate.
-   Support simulation infrastructure and workflows across Linux-based engineering environments and compute systems such as LSF.
-   Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior CAD and engineering team members.
-   Work with global engineering teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
-   Contribute to continuous improvement of simulation methodologies, productivity, reliability, and pre-silicon quality.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

-   **5+ years of professional experience** in CAD/EDA engineering, circuit simulation, semiconductor design automation, or a related field; **8+ years of experience in analog circuit simulation flows** is preferred.
-   Strong expertise in **analog circuit simulation methodologies and simulation-flow development**.
-   Hands-on experience with circuit simulators such as **FineSim, PrimeSim, XA, Spectre, VCS, Xcelium**, or equivalent platforms.
-   Strong experience debugging complex circuit simulation issues and understanding advanced circuit design methodologies.
-   Hands-on experience with **Cadence Virtuoso, Virtuoso-L, Virtuoso-XL**, schematic capture, or **Synopsys Custom Compiler** or equivalent tools.
-   Strong programming and automation skills using **Python and/or Perl**, preferably with object-oriented programming experience.
-   Good understanding of **CMOS concepts, analog circuits, digital fundamentals, and semiconductor design flows**.
-   Strong knowledge of **Linux, LSF, Shell scripting, TCL, and Cadence SKILL**.
-   Experience developing scalable CAD tools, automation frameworks, and simulation workflows.
-   Practical experience applying **AI/ML or AI-assisted automation** to engineering, simulation, or verification workflows.
-   Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
-   Experience working with global engineering teams, EDA vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
-   Knowledge of **parasitic extraction tools such as StarRC or Quantus** is an advantage.
-   Experience with **EM/IR analysis and Static Timing Analysis (STA)** is an advantage.
-   Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to mentor engineers and drive engineering improvements.
-   Ability to use AI-enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, automation, problem-solving, and engineering productivity.
