We are looking for an experienced and versatile **Engineering Manager / Product Manager** to bridge the gap between product strategy, engineering execution, and business objectives. This role is suited for a technology professional who can combine strong product thinking with engineering leadership to drive products from concept through development, launch, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely with leadership, engineering, design, and business teams to define product priorities, translate requirements into actionable technical plans, and ensure high-quality delivery. The role requires strong ownership, technical understanding, stakeholder management, and the ability to balance customer needs with engineering feasibility and business priorities.

## Requirements

### KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own and drive product initiatives from **ideation and discovery through development, launch, and continuous improvement**.
- Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, priorities, and delivery objectives.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business goals, customer needs, and engineering capabilities.
- Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Lead planning, prioritisation, sprint execution, release planning, and delivery tracking.
- Manage engineering priorities while balancing product impact, technical feasibility, resources, timelines, and quality.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, QA, operations, sales, marketing, and business stakeholders.
- Understand technical architecture, APIs, databases, integrations, infrastructure, and system dependencies sufficiently to make informed product decisions.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and trade-offs and drive timely resolution.
- Support engineering teams in removing blockers and maintaining predictable delivery.
- Establish clear processes for product discovery, requirement gathering, development, testing, and release management.
- Monitor product performance, user feedback, adoption, and business metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Use data and customer insights to prioritise features and optimise the product roadmap.
- Coordinate product launches and ensure alignment across technical and non-technical teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in product quality, engineering processes, delivery efficiency, and customer experience.
- Support technical and product documentation, including requirements, workflows, specifications, and release documentation.
- Mentor team members and promote strong ownership, collaboration, accountability, and engineering discipline.
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to leadership and stakeholders.

### WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

- **5+ years of experience** in product management, engineering management, software engineering, technical product management, or a closely related technology role.
- Experience working at the intersection of **product and engineering**, with the ability to understand both business requirements and technical execution.
- Proven experience managing product initiatives, engineering projects, or cross-functional technology programs.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, product discovery, prioritisation, and delivery practices.
- Ability to translate business and customer requirements into clear product specifications and actionable engineering requirements.
- Strong technical understanding of **software architecture, APIs, databases, integrations, cloud technologies, and modern application development**.
- Experience working closely with engineers, designers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of product roadmaps, sprint planning, release management, and delivery processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make practical trade-offs between **scope, quality, timelines, resources, and business impact**.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently drive initiatives from concept to completion.
- Experience mentoring or leading engineers, product teams, or cross-functional project teams is preferred.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in **Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline** is preferred.
