We are looking for an experienced **Buy-Side Investment Analyst** to conduct in-depth fundamental research and investment analysis across sectors such as **Capital Goods, Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining, and Consumer Technology**.

The role is suited for an investment professional with strong analytical capabilities, sector expertise, and the ability to translate company and industry-level research into actionable investment insights. You will evaluate businesses, financial performance, industry trends, management quality, and key investment risks to support informed portfolio and investment decisions.

## Requirements

Key Responsibilities

-   Conduct fundamental research across **Capital Goods, Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining, and Consumer Technology**sectors.
-   Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities within the assigned sector coverage.
-   Analyse company business models, competitive positioning, industry structure, growth drivers, and key risks.
-   Build and maintain detailed **financial models** to assess company performance, earnings potential, and valuation.
-   Analyse financial statements, annual reports, investor presentations, earnings releases, and other company disclosures.
-   Track quarterly results, management commentary, guidance, capital allocation, and key operating metrics.
-   Conduct valuation analysis using appropriate methodologies and industry-specific benchmarks.
-   Develop and maintain detailed investment theses supported by fundamental research and financial analysis.
-   Monitor sector trends, macroeconomic developments, regulatory changes, commodity cycles, and competitive dynamics.
-   Engage with company management, industry participants, experts, and other relevant stakeholders where appropriate.
-   Track portfolio companies and reassess investment theses based on new information and changing business fundamentals.
-   Identify key catalysts, downside risks, earnings drivers, and factors that could affect investment outcomes.
-   Prepare concise research reports, investment notes, presentations, and recommendations for senior investment stakeholders.
-   Present research findings and investment views clearly, supported by data and independent analysis.
-   Maintain a structured research process and continuously expand sector and company knowledge.
-   Collaborate with the broader investment team while demonstrating independent ownership of assigned research coverage.

What Makes You a Great Fit

-   **5+ years of experience** in buy-side equity research, investment analysis, portfolio research, or a closely related investment role.
-   Strong experience conducting **fundamental equity research** with a clear understanding of investment analysis.
-   Demonstrated sector expertise in one or more of **Capital Goods, Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining, or Consumer Technology**.
-   Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
-   Excellent understanding of financial statements, accounting fundamentals, and company analysis.
-   Ability to evaluate business quality, competitive advantages, management capabilities, growth prospects, and investment risks.
-   Strong understanding of industry and sector dynamics and their impact on company performance.
-   Experience developing independent **investment theses** and presenting research-backed investment views.
-   Strong analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
-   Ability to interpret complex financial and operational information and convert it into clear investment insights.
-   Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-   Intellectual curiosity and a strong interest in businesses, markets, industries, and long-term investment themes.
-   Ability to work independently, challenge assumptions, and develop differentiated research perspectives.
-   Strong ownership of research coverage, with the ability to manage multiple companies and research priorities effectively.
-   Professional qualifications such as **CFA, CA, or MBA in Finance** would be an advantage.
