We are looking for an experienced **SAP HANA Database Administrator** to manage, maintain, monitor, and support SAP HANA database environments across production and non-production landscapes. The role requires strong expertise in **SAP HANA administration, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, performance management, installation, upgrades, and production support**.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing critical database environments, resolving complex technical incidents, supporting maintenance activities, and collaborating with global teams to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of HANA systems.

## Requirements

Key Responsibilities

-   Administer and support **SAP HANA databases** across production and non-production environments.
-   Perform HANA installation, configuration, instance administration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
-   Manage **HANA 2.0 MDC and Non-MDC environments**.
-   Monitor database health, system alerts, availability, resource utilisation, and overall system performance.
-   Troubleshoot database issues using HANA administration tools, HANA Studio, logs, traces, and OS-level commands.
-   Manage **HANA backup, restore, recovery, and point-in-time recovery** activities.
-   Work with **Backint and traditional backup methods** and ensure backup processes are reliable and recoverable.
-   Perform database restart, recovery, and troubleshooting activities during planned and unplanned events.
-   Monitor and troubleshoot **CPU, memory, storage, and database performance** issues.
-   Perform HANA performance tuning and analyse system behaviour to identify bottlenecks.
-   Manage HANA users, licenses, audit logs, parameters, traces, and related administration activities.
-   Handle **P1/P2 incidents, production outages, and critical database issues** within defined service levels.
-   Perform root-cause analysis and document corrective and preventive actions for recurring issues.
-   Manage technical incidents, service requests, change requests, and problem-management activities.
-   Support **High Availability, Disaster Recovery, migration, and infrastructure-related activities** where required.
-   Coordinate with infrastructure, SAP, application, security, and other technical teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
-   Maintain accurate technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting knowledge articles.
-   Participate in knowledge-transfer sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
-   Support global shift operations and take **shift lead responsibilities** when required.
-   Follow established security, compliance, change-management, and operational procedures.
