Job Type: Full-time

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven **Regional Head – South** to build and lead a high-growth consumer food business across South India. This is a senior leadership role with complete responsibility for **regional P&L, operations, market expansion, team building, and business profitability**.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in food, QSR, cloud kitchens, bakery, cafés, food retail, or another operationally intensive consumer business. The role requires an entrepreneurial, hands-on leader who can establish operations from the ground up, build high-performing teams, and scale a successful operating model across multiple markets.

## Requirements

Key Responsibilities

- Own the complete **South India P&L**, with accountability for revenue, operating costs, contribution margins, unit economics, and profitability.
- Lead the setup, launch, and commercial ramp-up of the **Bengaluru central kitchen and supporting dark-store network**.
- Build the regional operating structure across production, operations, procurement, supply planning, workforce planning, and recruitment.
- Develop and execute a repeatable market-entry and expansion strategy for **Hyderabad, Chennai, and other South Indian markets**.
- Make commercially sound decisions regarding market entry, capacity creation, infrastructure, investments, and resource deployment.
- Translate operating standards into consistent execution across **product quality, food safety, availability, service levels, and customer experience**.
- Manage perishable-product operations with strong control over food costs, wastage, inventory, fulfilment, capacity utilisation, and productivity.
- Establish operating reviews and track key metrics covering revenue, outlet economics, productivity, payback periods, ramp-up performance, and profitability.
- Partner closely with central teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, People, Product, and Technology.
- Build strong local networks of vendors, suppliers, partners, and talent to support regional expansion.
- Recruit, structure, mentor, and lead regional leadership and operating teams with clear accountability and performance expectations.
- Establish strong operating systems that enable the South India business to function with high ownership and limited dependence on head office.
- Ensure consistent execution of operational, commercial, quality, and customer-experience standards across the region.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, margins, and overall regional performance.

What Makes You a Great Fit

- **10+ years of experience** in regional, city, business, or operations leadership roles within **food, QSR, cloud kitchens, bakery, cafés, food retail, or operationally intensive consumer businesses**.
- Proven experience owning a **regional, city, or business P&L**, including revenue, costs, contribution margins, and profitability.
- Demonstrated experience **launching a new market, central kitchen, operating cluster, dark-store network, or multi-unit business** rather than only managing an established operation.
- Strong understanding of **South Indian markets**, particularly Bengaluru; exposure to Hyderabad and Chennai is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food operations, perishable supply chains, central kitchens, store/dark-store economics, and multi-unit operations.
- Hands-on experience managing **procurement, inventory, food costs, wastage, fulfilment, capacity planning, and operational productivity**.
- Proven ability to build and lead cross-functional teams in high-growth environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect operational decisions to revenue, margins, and profitability.
- Entrepreneurial and hands-on approach with the ability to move effectively between strategic planning and ground-level execution.
- Comfortable operating with significant ownership and autonomy while maintaining alignment with senior leadership.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
- Excellent people leadership skills with the ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and retain high-performing teams.
- Strong execution discipline and the ability to manage multiple priorities during rapid business expansion.
- High ownership mindset with a strong focus on **business growth, operational excellence, customer experience, and sustainable profitability**.
