As an Automotive Plastic Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and developing high-quality 3D models and detailed engineering drawings for automotive plastic components. You will work on both interior and exterior applications, translating design requirements into manufacturable and production-ready components.

The role requires a strong understanding of automotive plastic design principles, surface and solid modelling, drafting, packaging requirements, and design feasibility. You will collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, quality, and manufacturing requirements.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Design and develop **automotive plastic components** using CATIA V5 / 3DEXPERIENCE.
-   Create accurate **3D solid and surface models** based on design and engineering requirements.
-   Prepare detailed **2D engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation**.
-   Work on automotive interior and exterior plastic components throughout the design and development lifecycle.
-   Develop components such as **instrument panels, consoles, door trims, pillar trims, bumpers, grilles, and other interior/exterior trims**.
-   Apply automotive design standards and best practices to ensure components are functional, manufacturable, and production-ready.
-   Review designs for packaging, fitment, clearances, interfaces, and assembly requirements.
-   Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and other cross-functional teams to resolve design issues.
-   Incorporate design changes and engineering feedback while maintaining accuracy and design intent.
-   Support design reviews, validation activities, and issue resolution during product development.
-   Ensure models and drawings meet required quality, dimensional, and documentation standards.
