We are looking for an experienced **Lead Backend Engineer** to drive the design, development, and evolution of highly scalable backend systems for enterprise-grade supply chain products. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established product development organization with over **1,500 employees** and **USD 280 million in annual revenue**, building innovative technology solutions that power complex global supply chain operations.

As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in defining technical architecture, mentoring engineering teams, and delivering robust, high-performance backend services. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and cross-functional teams to build secure, reliable, and scalable distributed systems capable of handling large-scale business transactions.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend applications using **Golang**.
-   Lead the architecture and implementation of microservices and distributed systems.
-   Drive engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, security, and performance optimization.
-   Collaborate with product management to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
-   Mentor and guide senior and junior engineers through technical leadership and code reviews.
-   Build resilient APIs and backend services that support mission-critical supply chain applications.
-   Optimize database performance, caching strategies, and system throughput for high-volume workloads.
-   Work closely with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud infrastructure.
-   Participate in architectural discussions, technical planning, and technology roadmap decisions.
-   Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high system availability, reliability, and observability.
-   Promote engineering excellence by introducing modern backend development practices and scalable design patterns.

### Required Skills & Qualifications

-   10–18 years of professional software engineering experience with significant backend development expertise.
-   Strong hands-on experience with **Golang**, including building production-grade applications.
-   Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, and scalable application design.
-   Experience designing RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
-   Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and backend design principles.
-   Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and data modeling.
-   Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
-   Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
-   Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks.
-   Knowledge of message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is highly desirable.
-   Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools for production environments.
-   Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound architectural decisions.
-   Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with proven leadership experience.

### Preferred Qualifications

-   Experience developing enterprise SaaS or large-scale product platforms.
-   Exposure to supply chain, logistics, warehouse management, or enterprise software domains is an advantage.
-   Experience leading engineering teams and driving technical initiatives across multiple projects.
-   Strong understanding of system security, scalability, and performance engineering.
-   Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
