We are looking for a technically strong **Technical Sourcing & Procurement Engineer** to drive global sourcing, supplier development, component procurement, and vendor management for engineering and manufacturing requirements. The role combines engineering knowledge with procurement expertise, requiring the ability to evaluate suppliers, understand technical specifications, negotiate commercial terms, and build reliable global supply networks.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience sourcing engineered components and working with suppliers outside India, along with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic and mechanical components.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Develop and execute **global sourcing strategies** for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components.
-   Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop suppliers in India and international markets.
-   Manage sourcing for **sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, EMS, wiring harnesses, motors, motor drivers, PCBs, embedded electronics, sensors, controllers, and batteries**.
-   Review engineering drawings, BOMs, technical specifications, and manufacturing requirements to assess supplier capabilities.
-   Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of prospective suppliers.
-   Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, quality requirements, and other commercial conditions.
-   Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with strategic suppliers and manufacturing partners.
-   Drive supplier qualification, onboarding, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
-   Identify alternate suppliers and develop sourcing strategies to reduce supply-chain risks.
-   Support **cost-down initiatives, value engineering, and supplier-led cost optimization**.
-   Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve supplier and component-related issues.
-   Support import/export activities and ensure sourcing decisions align with applicable commercial and logistics requirements.
-   Maintain supplier documentation, sourcing records, cost information, and procurement data.
-   Monitor supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness.
-   Contribute to improving procurement processes, supplier networks, and sourcing efficiency.

### What's Makes You a Great Fit

-   Bachelor's degree in **Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering**.
-   **2–5 years of experience** in technical sourcing, component procurement, supplier development, or engineering procurement.
-   Mandatory experience in **global sourcing**, including working with suppliers outside India.
-   Strong understanding of **sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, EMS/electronics manufacturing, wiring harnesses, motors and motor drivers, PCBs, embedded electronics, sensors, controllers, and batteries**.
-   Ability to understand and interpret **engineering drawings, BOMs, technical specifications, and manufacturing requirements**.
-   Working knowledge of import/export processes and commercial terms.
-   Strong skills in **supplier negotiation, technical evaluation, vendor qualification, and relationship management**.
-   Experience in **Robotics, Automation, EV, Automotive, or Industrial Equipment** is an advantage.
-   Exposure to **EMS, OEM, ODM, or contract manufacturing** environments is preferred.
-   Knowledge of **IPC standards, ISO quality systems, manufacturing SOPs, and quality processes** is a plus.
-   Familiarity with ERP, procurement, or supply-chain management systems.
-   Experience with **supplier development, cost reduction, and alternate vendor development** will be highly valued.
-   Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
-   Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires close collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply-chain teams.
