We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive **Quality Assurance Engineer** who combines strong software testing expertise with a modern, AI-driven approach to quality engineering. The role is focused on building robust test automation, improving product reliability, and helping engineering teams deliver high-quality software faster.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with **Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, frontend testing, API testing, and AI-assisted testing workflows**. Beyond identifying defects, you will help define testing strategies, improve QA practices, and enable developers and QA professionals to adopt more effective automation and AI-powered testing approaches.

## Requirements

### KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-   Leverage **AI tools and agentic workflows** to improve testing efficiency, automation, exploratory testing, and defect analysis.
-   Collaborate with developers, product managers, designers, and QA teams to define and execute effective **test strategies**.
-   Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for web and frontend functionalities.
-   Build and maintain automated test suites using **Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript**.
-   Apply appropriate automation patterns such as **Page Object Model (POM), Screenplay, and other scalable testing approaches**.
-   Validate API responses, authentication mechanisms, integrations, and end-to-end workflows using Playwright, Postman, and other API testing tools.
-   Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, cross-browser, and cross-device testing.
-   Identify, document, prioritise, and track defects using **Qase, Jira, or similar tools**.
-   Conduct daily bug triage and work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution.
-   Analyse frontend issues using **Chrome Developer Tools, DOM inspection, browser behaviour, and web debugging techniques**.
-   Develop and maintain test plans, test documentation, automation frameworks, and quality metrics.
-   Contribute to improving test coverage, engineering quality practices, and team-level QA capabilities.
-   Support CI/CD-based automated testing using **GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, or similar platforms**.
-   Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, automation coverage, and engineering productivity.
-   Help establish quality standards, testing best practices, and scalable QA processes across the engineering organisation.

### WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

-   **3+ years of experience** in software testing, quality assurance, or quality engineering.
-   Proven experience using **AI to generate automated tests, accelerate test development, or perform AI-driven exploratory testing**.
-   Strong hands-on expertise with **Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript** for test automation.
-   Solid understanding of **frontend testing for modern web applications**; component testing experience is an advantage.
-   Strong knowledge of web technologies, including the **DOM, browser behaviour, HTML/CSS, and frontend debugging**.
-   Practical experience with **Chrome Developer Tools** and troubleshooting browser-based issues.
-   Experience with API testing using **Postman, Playwright, or similar tools**.
-   Strong understanding of test automation frameworks, design patterns, test coverage, regression testing, and quality processes.
-   Experience with test case and defect management tools such as **Qase, TestRail, BrowserStack, or similar platforms**.
-   Familiarity with **Jira, Confluence, Google Docs, and Google Sheets** for documentation, test planning, and collaboration.
-   Experience integrating automated tests into **CI/CD pipelines** such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
-   Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
-   Strong understanding of **Agile methodologies** and experience working in fast-paced product development environments.
