We are looking for an experienced **ServiceNow Developer** with **5–11 years of experience** to design, develop, configure, and maintain scalable ServiceNow solutions, with a strong focus on **IT Asset Management (ITAM)** and **Software Asset Management (SAM)**. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in the ServiceNow platform and a strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle processes, platform configuration, integrations, and enterprise IT operations.

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other technology functions to understand requirements, translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions, and ensure successful implementation and ongoing platform enhancement.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Design, develop, configure, and maintain applications and workflows on the **ServiceNow platform**.
-   Implement and enhance **IT Asset Management (ITAM)** processes covering asset lifecycle, inventory, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
-   Develop and maintain solutions for **Software Asset Management (SAM)**, including software license management, compliance, entitlement tracking, and optimization.
-   Work extensively with **SAM Pro** capabilities to support software asset management and license optimization.
-   Configure ServiceNow modules, workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, notifications, and scheduled jobs.
-   Develop custom applications and platform enhancements while following ServiceNow development best practices.
-   Integrate ServiceNow with third-party applications and enterprise systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, and other integration mechanisms.
-   Analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
-   Troubleshoot platform issues, investigate defects, and implement appropriate fixes while maintaining system stability.
-   Support data migration, transformation, reconciliation, and data-quality activities related to IT assets.
-   Work with CMDB and asset data to ensure accurate relationships, ownership, lifecycle status, and configuration information.
-   Collaborate with functional teams, administrators, architects, and stakeholders during implementation and enhancement projects.
-   Participate in testing, deployment, documentation, and post-production support activities.
-   Stay updated with ServiceNow platform capabilities, releases, and recommended development practices.

### Must-Have Skills

-   **5–11 years of experience** in ServiceNow development.
-   Strong hands-on experience with **ServiceNow** development and configuration.
-   Strong understanding and practical experience in **IT Asset Management (ITAM)**.
-   Experience developing ServiceNow workflows, business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI policies, and other platform components.
-   Good understanding of ServiceNow data structures, tables, forms, lists, and platform architecture.
-   Experience working with ServiceNow integrations and APIs.
-   Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
-   Ability to work with cross-functional teams and understand business requirements.

### Good-to-Have Skills

-   Experience with **ServiceNow SAM Pro**.
-   Knowledge of **Software Asset Management (SAM)** processes and licensing models.
-   Experience with software license compliance and optimization.
-   Exposure to CMDB, Discovery, ITOM, or other ServiceNow modules.
-   ServiceNow certifications such as **Certified System Administrator (CSA)** or relevant Certified Application Developer certifications.
-   Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and third-party enterprise systems.
-   Knowledge of JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting best practices.
