We are looking for an experienced **Lead QA Engineer** to lead quality assurance initiatives across a suite of modern web and backend applications. This is a high-impact role for a hands-on quality leader who can define testing strategies, build scalable automation frameworks, and drive a culture of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

As a Lead QA Engineer, you will work closely with Engineering, Product, and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, high-quality software releases. You will be responsible for establishing QA best practices, expanding test automation coverage, mentoring QA engineers, and continuously improving testing processes while remaining actively involved in troubleshooting complex issues and validating critical product functionality.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Define and implement end-to-end QA strategies, processes, and quality standards across multiple products.
-   Build, maintain, and enhance automated testing frameworks to improve test coverage and release confidence.
-   Lead manual and automated testing efforts for web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
-   Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression test suites.
-   Identify, track, prioritize, and resolve software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
-   Validate application functionality across browsers, operating systems, and devices to ensure a consistent user experience.
-   Perform SQL and database validation to verify data integrity and application behavior.
-   Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and Support teams during sprint planning, feature development, and release cycles.
-   Mentor and guide QA team members while promoting testing best practices and continuous improvement.
-   Monitor QA metrics, analyze testing effectiveness, and recommend process enhancements to improve product quality and engineering efficiency.

### What Makes You a Great Fit

-   5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing.
-   Proven experience leading QA teams or owning end-to-end quality assurance processes.
-   Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and modern QA best practices.
-   Hands-on experience testing web applications, REST APIs, and backend services.
-   Strong knowledge of automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Jest, Mockito, or similar technologies.
-   Experience using API testing tools such as Postman and working with bug tracking platforms like Jira or Bugzilla.
-   Strong SQL skills with experience performing database validation and data integrity testing.
-   Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
-   Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
-   A proactive mindset with a passion for building scalable quality processes and delivering reliable, high-performing software products.
