We are seeking an experienced **Lead Java Developer** to drive the design and development of enterprise-grade banking applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java-based backend development, microservices architecture, and a strong understanding of banking and financial services systems. You will lead a team of developers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and play a critical role in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performance applications that support business-critical operations.

This role requires a hands-on technical leader who is passionate about software engineering best practices, architectural excellence, and mentoring engineering teams while delivering innovative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend applications using Java and modern frameworks.
-   Architect and implement microservices-based solutions that are secure, resilient, and highly available.
-   Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
-   Drive technical design discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices across development teams.
-   Mentor and guide developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and software design principles.
-   Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services for banking and financial applications.

### Requirements

### Must-have Skills

-   8–12 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
-   Strong expertise in Core Java, Java 8/11/17, Multithreading, Collections, Streams, and JVM internals.
-   Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
-   Proven experience designing and implementing Microservices architecture.
-   Strong understanding of REST APIs, API Gateway, service discovery, circuit breakers, and distributed systems.
-   Solid experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain.
-   Strong understanding of banking applications such as payments, lending, retail banking, treasury, trade finance, or core banking platforms.
-   Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
-   Strong knowledge of SQL, database optimization, and transaction management.
-   Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or JMS.
-   Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
-   Experience working with Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
-   Strong understanding of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and clean architecture.

### Good-to-have Skills

-   Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
-   Knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed messaging systems.
-   Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
-   Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and enterprise security practices.
-   Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
-   Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and DevOps methodologies.
-   Experience leading distributed engineering teams and large-scale enterprise projects.
