We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Test Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in software testing to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of software quality assurance processes, testing methodologies, and automation concepts. Exposure to Cypress automation testing is considered a strong advantage.

As a Test Engineer, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. You will be involved in designing test scenarios, executing test cases, identifying defects, and contributing to continuous improvement in testing practices. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about quality, eager to learn modern testing tools, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

## Requirements

### Key Responsibilities

-   Understand business and functional requirements to create effective test strategies and test cases.
-   Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for web-based applications.
-   Execute manual and automated test cases to validate application functionality and performance.
-   Identify, document, track, and report bugs using defect management tools.
-   Collaborate with development teams to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
-   Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and daily stand-up meetings in Agile environments.
-   Assist in maintaining test documentation, test reports, and quality metrics.
-   Contribute to automation testing initiatives using Cypress wherever applicable.
-   Ensure software releases meet quality standards and user expectations.
-   Continuously learn and adopt modern QA tools, frameworks, and best practices.

### Required Skills

-   1–2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
-   Good understanding of SDLC and STLC processes.
-   Knowledge of manual testing concepts including functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
-   Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools.
-   Basic understanding of API testing and database validation is a plus.
-   Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
-   Good communication and teamwork skills.
-   Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks effectively.

### Good-to-Have Skills

-   Hands-on exposure to Cypress automation testing.
-   Understanding of JavaScript basics for writing and maintaining automation scripts.
-   Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
-   Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
-   Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows is an added advantage.

### Educational Qualification

-   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
