We are looking for an experienced and technically strong **Senior Software Engineer** to join our engineering team and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with **Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka**, along with a solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and backend development.

In this role, you will work closely with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other developers to build reliable backend solutions that can scale with business needs. You will also be expected to contribute to technical decisions, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior engineers.

## Requirements

Key Responsibilities

-   Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using **Java and Spring Boot**.
-   Build and maintain robust **RESTful APIs and microservices** for enterprise applications.
-   Develop event-driven applications and integrate distributed systems using **Apache Kafka**.
-   Design Kafka producers and consumers, manage topics, partitions, consumer groups, and message-processing workflows.
-   Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code following software engineering best practices.
-   Analyze technical requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software solutions.
-   Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and resource utilization.
-   Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root-cause analysis and resolution.
-   Conduct code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards and development practices.
-   Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams.
-   Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.
-   Mentor junior developers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives within the engineering team.

Must-Have Skills

-   **4–7 years of professional software development experience.**
-   Strong hands-on programming experience with **Core Java**.
-   Excellent experience with **Spring Boot** and the Spring ecosystem.
-   Strong understanding of **microservices architecture** and distributed systems.
-   Hands-on experience working with **Apache Kafka**, including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, and message delivery patterns.
-   Strong experience developing and integrating **REST APIs**.
-   Good understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
-   Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
-   Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
-   Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, Git, and CI/CD practices.
-   Ability to write production-quality code and work effectively in an agile development environment.

Good-to-Have Skills

-   Experience with **AWS** services and cloud-based application development.
-   Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
-   Understanding of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
-   Experience with monitoring, logging, and application performance optimization.
-   Familiarity with cloud-native and event-driven architectures.
