### What You'll Be Doing

-   Lead the complete estimating process for civil construction projects ranging from municipal infrastructure and underground utilities to earthworks, parks, sports fields, and site development.
-   Develop bid strategies that position Wilco for success in highly competitive markets.
-   Review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contract documents to identify risks and opportunities.
-   Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and estimate labour, equipment, subcontractor, and material costs.
-   Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
-   Collaborate with project teams to support project handoffs and successful execution.
-   Assist with budgeting, forecasting, value engineering, and project pursuit strategies.
-   Mentor and support junior estimators and project team members.
-   Monitor market trends, municipal capital plans, and upcoming opportunities throughout Alberta.

## Requirements

-   8+ years of estimating experience in civil construction, heavy civil, infrastructure, earthworks, underground utilities, paving, or municipal construction.
-   Strong understanding of construction means and methods, production rates, equipment costing, and risk analysis.
-   Experience preparing estimates ranging from small private projects to large public infrastructure projects.
-   Proficiency with HeavyBid, B2W, Hard Dollar, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar estimating software.
-   Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
-   Ability to manage multiple pursuits while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
-   A collaborative approach and desire to contribute beyond estimating.
