## Description

We are seeking committed and skilled **Heavy Equipment Operators** to join our team for the upcoming 2026 season, primarily located in the Edmonton area. Our fleet consists mainly of CAT equipment, well-maintained and equipped to handle various tasks. Operators are required for:

-   **Excavators**
-   **Loaders**
-   **Skid-Steers**
-   **Graders (GPS experience preferred)**
-   **Dozers (GPS experience preferred)**

_**All Operators will undergo an in person Competency and Evaluation by our HEO Trainer at the Wilco Contractors Training Facility, prior to receiving a full time offer and starting work.**_

**The Heavy Equipment Operators will be responsible for:**

-   Performing pre-operation inspections and completing necessary maintenance checks on heavy machinery.
-   Operating heavy equipment safely and effectively to complete grading, excavating, and other tasks as required.
-   Engaging in direct communication with team members and supervisors to ensure project needs are met.
-   Work closely with Foremen, Labourers, and Surveyors to complete tasks according to project specifications.
-   Working collaboratively in diverse and dynamic environments while adhering to safety protocols.
-   Participate in daily toolbox meetings and hazard assessments.
-   Basic understanding of survey/layout required.
-   Capable of operating under numerous and varied job site situations.
-   Maintain a positive and professional attitude on site.

## Requirements

-   Minimum of 3+ years experience operating heavy equipment.
-   Experience operating multiple types of machinery is considered an asset.
-   Ability to perform finish grading and interpret survey stakes accurately.
-   Strong teamwork and communication skills.
-   Capable of adapting to varying job site conditions and challenges.
-   Must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
-   CSTS and Ground Disturbance certification are a condition of employment.
