**Job Title: Mental Health Medical Receptionist & Billing Virtual Assistant**

### About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mental Health Medical Receptionist & Billing Virtual Assistant to support a growing mental health practice with patient scheduling, billing, prior authorizations, insurance verification, and front desk operations.

The ideal candidate is comfortable handling patient phone calls, managing administrative workflows, and assisting with billing-related tasks while maintaining a professional and compassionate patient experience. Experience working in a healthcare setting, particularly mental health, is highly valued.

### Core Responsibilities

### Patient Scheduling & Phone Support (Top Priority)

-   Answer incoming patient phone calls professionally and courteously
-   Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
-   Assist patients with general inquiries and appointment-related concerns
-   Handle missed appointment follow-ups and rescheduling efforts

### Billing & Prior Authorizations (Top Priority)

-   billing processes and prior authorization

### Copay Collection & Patient Follow-Up (Top Priority)

-   Collect patient copays and outstanding balances
-   Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments

### Administrative & Front Desk Support

-   Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
-   Distribute and collect required patient forms
-   Perform general medical receptionist and administrative duties

### Software & Systems

-   Tebra EHR/EMR

## Requirements

-   Previous healthcare, medical office, or patient-facing experience preferred
-   Experience with billing, prior authorizations, or insurance verification preferred
-   Experience using EHR/EMR systems required
-   Experience with Tebra is strongly preferred
-   Mental health practice experience is a plus
-   Previous virtual assistant experience preferred

### Basic requirements

-   Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
-   Must have relevant work experience
-   Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding \[mandatory\]
-   Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
