## Description

**SUMMARY OF POSITION**

-   Operate Tractor and Trailer equipment in compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations for private fleet.
-   Must possess Class A CDL, Hazmat endorsement a plus.
-   Pass background check.
-   Pass all pre-employment and periodic physicals and drug screens.
-   Clean driving record.
-   Good time management, organizational, and communication skills.
-   Safety-focused team player with a positive attitude.

## Requirements

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and RESPOSIBILITIES:**

-   Safely transporting freight between various locations over long distances, have knowledge of and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
-   Perform equipment inspections before and after each trip to ensure that there are no safety or mechanical issues.
-   Carefully plan routes, that avoid traffic, delays, or unnecessary tolls, to ensure that deliveries are completed in a timely manner.
-   Communicate with customers in a professional manner regarding delivery times and other arrangements, including obtaining signatures upon delivery.
-   Ensure customer receiving teams only unload the number of items per the bill of laden.  Call Logistics Manager of any issues. 
-   Ensure load is secured before leaving for next stop to prevent damage.
-   Follow all WinTech Logistics Policy.

**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:**

-   Minimum 2 years’ experience required, 5 or more years preferred
