## Description

We are seeking a technically strong and hands-on RF Engineer (Tier 3) to support the performance, optimisation and reliability of ikeja's wireless network.

This is a critical technical role within our Network Operations function, responsible for analysing network performance, identifying and resolving RF-related issues, supporting field teams and ensuring optimal network quality for our customers. Working closely with the Tier 4 RF Engineers, NOC, on site technicians and Installers, the successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining and improving the performance of ikeja's wireless infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented and passionate about wireless networking. You should be comfortable troubleshooting complex RF issues, performing network analysis, supporting field teams remotely and on-site when required and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the network.

### Summary of Responsibilities

As an RF Engineer (Tier 3), you will play a key role in supporting the performance, optimisation and reliability of ikeja's wireless network. You will work closely with technical and operational teams to identify, troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues while contributing to the ongoing improvement of our infrastructure.

**Key responsibilities include:**

-   Monitoring and analysing network performance to identify improvement opportunities.
-   Assisting with network planning, optimisation and wireless infrastructure enhancements.
-   Troubleshooting RF and network-related issues to maintain service quality and reliability.
-   Supporting field technicians and installation teams with technical guidance and problem resolution.
-   Assisting with customer-impacting escalations and contributing to effective fault resolution.
-   Configuring and maintaining network equipment in line with operational requirements.
-   Collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement network improvements and changes.
-   Maintaining accurate technical documentation and records.
-   Participating in standby and after-hours support activities when required.
-   Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the network.

## Requirements

**Minimum Qualifications**

-   Grade 12 / Matric Certificate. 
-   Relevant qualification in Telecommunications, Networking, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

**Preferred Certifications**

-   Relevant qualification in Telecommunications, Networking, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
-   MikroTik MTCNA is advantageous.
-   Additional MikroTik certifications are advantageous.
-   Ubiquiti, Cambium, Mimosa, Siklu, or similar wireless networking certifications are advantageous.

**Experience**

-   Minimum 2 years' experience in a wireless ISP, telecommunications, RF engineering, NOC, or network operations environment. 
-   Proven experience working with PtMP and PTP wireless infrastructure.
-   Proven Experience performing RF analysis, optimisation and troubleshooting.
-   Proven experience supporting field technicians and installation teams.

**Other requirements** 

Willingness and ability to participate in a standby roster and provide after-hours support when required.

**Technical Skills**

-   Strong understanding of RF principles and wireless networking technologies.
-   Experience with Point-to-Point (PTP) and Point-to-Multi-Point (PtMP) wireless networks.
-   Knowledge of frequency planning and spectrum management.
-   Understanding of wireless network design and optimisation principles.
-   Experience performing RF troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
-   Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
-   Ability to interpret signal metrics and network performance data.
-   Understanding of routing, switching and TCP/IP fundamentals.
