## Description

**Project**

The **Woodfibre LNG** Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.

**Woodfibre Management Ltd.** is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.

**Position**

The **Facilities Supervisor** is an integral part of **Woodfibre LNG's** dynamic team. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient day-to-day operation and maintenance of onsite buildings, infrastructure, and facility systems. This role provides frontline supervision and coordination of maintenance personnel, contractors, and service providers to ensure facilities are maintained to operational, safety, environmental, and quality standards. The Facilities Supervisor oversees building operations including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, contractor coordination, building inspections, and facility support services while ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This position plays a key role in maintaining building integrity, occupant comfort, operational continuity, and overall site reliability.

**Key Responsibilities****:**

The successful applicant will:

**Building Operations & Maintenance**

-   Lead the development of standards and work practices and procedures.
-   Supervise daily operation and maintenance of onsite buildings and facilities.
-   Coordinate and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
-   Ensure all building systems are operating safely and efficiently, including: HVAC systems, Electrical systems, Plumbing systems, Fire protection systems, Security systems, Lighting systems, Building automation systems, and General infrastructure.

-   Conduct routine facility inspections and identify deficiencies requiring corrective action.
-   Ensure facilities remain clean, organized, and operationally ready
-   Assist with maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
-   Coordinate facility shutdowns, repairs, inspections, and service interruptions.
-   Support capital projects, upgrades, and facility improvement initiatives.
-   Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and facility documentation
-   Monitor building condition and identify reliability risks or infrastructure concerns.
-   Support lifecycle planning and long-term facility maintenance strategies.
-   Ensure timely correction of deficiencies impacting safety, reliability, or operations.
-   Assist in managing facility budgets and maintenance costs.  
    

**Contractor & Vendor Management**

-   Coordinate and supervise contractors, vendors, and service providers performing work onsite.
-   Manage and administer site service contracts including catering and vending services, cleaning services, waste removal services.
-   Monitor contractor performance, safety, quality, and cost.
-   Ensure contractor compliance with: Site safety requirements, Permit systems, Company procedures, Quality expectations, contractor performance and address deficiencies where required.
-   Verify work completion and approve contractor timesheets and service reports where applicable

**Safety & Regulatory Compliance**

-   Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards
-   Participate in hazard assessments, incident investigations, and safety meetings
-   Ensure compliance with: Occupational health and safety requirements, Environmental standards, Building codes, Fire code requirements, and Corporate safety procedures.
-   Support emergency response activities and facility preparedness programs.

**Leadership & Workforce Management**

-   Ensure personnel perform work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
-   Supervise warehouse personnel in alignment with site \\standards and processes
-   Provide daily direction and supervision to maintenance staff and contractors.
-   Support workforce planning in a 24/7 operating environment.
-   Conduct competency assessments and performance evaluations.
-   Foster a respectful workplace aligned with BC labour standards and Indigenous partnership commitments.
-   Support workforce development, training, and competency improvement.
-   Ensure personnel perform work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
-   Promote teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.  
    

**Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence**

-   Implement 5S and lean practices.
-   Identify cost savings and efficiency improvements.

## Requirements

**Required Experience****:**

-   Journeyperson trade certification, technical diploma, or equivalent facilities/building operations experience preferred.
-   Facilities Management certification considered an asset.
-   5–7 years of industrial facilities management, experience in LNG, refining, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.
-   5+ years of supervisory experience in a high-hazard facility.
-   Strong SAP proficiency.
-   Demonstrated experience in writing standards & procedures.
-   Understanding of BC regulatory environment and industrial facilities.
-   2-3 years Safety leadership in high-risk environments.
-   Strong safety awareness.
-   Stakeholder coordination across Maintenance, Operations & Engineering.
-   Leading Contractors & providing oversight.
-   Continuous improvement mindset.

**Additional Requirements****:**

-   Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset.
-   Communication/interpersonal skills – interacting with front-line workers through to management and all hierarchical levels.
-   Ability to be Innovative and vision-oriented with demonstrated ability to undertake strategic planning and implementation.
-   Fit for duty and capable of working in industrial environments.
