We are proud to present the following opportunity.

### About Our Client

Our client is a U.S.-based manufacturer specializing in custom architectural site furnishings and castings for public spaces, streetscapes, and parks.

Their products include decorative steel grates, tree guards, planters, benches, bollards, and iron castings. Their manufacturing operation combines laser cutting, press brake forming, welding, powder coating, woodworking, and foundry processes, handling more than 200 jobs per month.

The design and engineering team works with **Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD**, supporting a fast-paced production environment with a strong focus on accuracy and manufacturability.

### Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced **CAD Detailer / Shop Drawing Specialist** to convert completed 3D models and design intent into accurate, production-ready shop drawings and client submittal packages.

This is a high-volume, detail-oriented role supporting multiple simultaneous fabrication jobs involving sheet metal, weldments, castings, and assemblies. Standard drawing packages are typically expected within **24–48 hours**.

You will work closely with the design team while taking ownership of the detailing process, allowing designers to remain focused on product development and customer-facing work.

### Responsibilities

- Convert 3D models from **Inventor, Fusion 360, SolidWorks**, and other source formats into fully dimensioned 2D shop drawings using AutoCAD.
- Produce fabrication drawings for laser-cut sheet metal, press brake components, welded assemblies, cast iron and aluminum parts, powder-coated assemblies, and wood components.
- Prepare complete submittal packages including title blocks, bills of materials, finish specifications, notes, dimensions, and revision clouds.
- Apply established drawing standards, including layer conventions, annotation styles, tolerance callouts, and title blocks.
- Work with **STEP/IGES exports, DXF files, PDF markups, and SolidWorks Pack and Go archives**.
- Identify and flag fabrication concerns such as bend-radius conflicts, material mismatches, and tolerance stack-ups before drawings are released.
- Maintain accurate file naming, drawing revisions, and version control.
- Communicate asynchronously with the design team to resolve drawing ambiguities and technical questions.
- Deliver accurate work consistently within short production timelines.

## Requirements

### Requirements

- **3+ years of experience** producing fabrication drawings, shop drawings, or manufacturing drawings.
- Strong proficiency with **AutoCAD**, particularly 2D detailing, dimensions, layers, title blocks, and viewports.
- Proficiency with **SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Inventor** for working with 3D source models.
- Ability to interpret 3D models and STEP/IGES/PDF files and translate them into accurate 2D production drawings.
- Solid understanding of **sheet metal fabrication**, including bend allowances, K-factors, and flat patterns.
- Knowledge of **AWS weld symbols** and weld-joint detailing.
- Experience with **GD&T and tolerancing** for fabricated metal components.
- Experience preparing and maintaining **Bills of Materials (BOMs)** and drawing revisions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential manufacturability issues.
- Professional English communication skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a secure workstation suitable for handling confidential client files.

### Nice to Have

- Experience with **Autodesk Inventor or Fusion 360**.
- SolidWorks experience, particularly working with **Pack and Go** archives.
- Knowledge of **Trumpf laser cutting or press brake processes**.
- Experience creating drawings for cast iron or aluminum components.
- Knowledge of powder-coat and surface-finish callouts.
- Experience with architectural site furnishings, street furniture, or similar manufactured products.
- Experience preparing submittal packages for construction or public-works projects.

## Benefits

- Compensation in USD.
- Fully remote work.
- Flexible part-time or full-time engagement.
- Long-term potential based on performance and business needs.
- Opportunity to work directly with a U.S.-based manufacturing operation on real-world architectural and fabrication projects.
